Kakariki View update......
We are excited to say that the first surveying pegs are in the ground. Pegs have been put in place to outline the entire subdivision boundary and the road outline.
happenings include:

  • The road engineering report is currently with council, once this is signed off tenders will be taken for the installation of the road and other amenities including fibre, power and water.
  • We have a landscape architect turning up next week to give their thoughts in regards to plantings and fencing etc.
  • We are hoping to have earth works in terms of the road taking place in October!
The views are currently stunning from the sections particularly on frosty mornings when Mt Hutt and the Taylor Range are looking especially spectacular currently.

If you would like to come and take a look at the sections for yourself please feel free to make an appointment by calling Glen on 021892355, we would love to show you around!

Thank you for your expression of interest in our piece of paradise that is Kakariki View. We are excited to say that we have received consent from the Ashburton District Council to develop the 23 hectares bordering the Methven golf course into nineteen 4000m2 plus sections. Sections will be available for sale soon, at this stage we are finalising plans for the section layout with council which should be complete by the end of May. Our timeline from there is to have the roadworks beginning in September and landscaping projects underway. Building sites should be ready come December this year.

If you have any questions or would like to come and see the subdivision please do not hesitate to call or email
About us...

Introducing Glen and Bronwyn Currie. We both live in Methven (in fact we live in the front section of the subdivision) with our three boys. Glen grew up in Methven and loves all the adventures and lifestyle that the town has to offer. Bronwyn was coerced into moving here after having lived in Central Otago for a number of years. Both love the environment that is Mid Canterbury and all the adventures that are on the backdoor step. Methven is the perfect mix of small traditional country New Zealand but with all the resources of a modern tourist town.
